Leather for the Ladies

Dear Diary,
For a long time I’ve preached about throwing away the labels we put on our clothes so we can recognize the true potential our closets really have to offer. My signature: dress down your occasional pieces for a day (see Stop The Labeling). However, I recently realized that I’m guilty of holding a stereotype over leather apparel for the longest time!

When it comes to chic and modern leather apparel, Balmain’s runway shows immediately come into my mind: stick thin models striding down the runway with skinny leather pants and military inspired leather jackets, looking so tough and full of attitude, which I am totally a fan of.

But it wasn’t until recently when I found this faux leather skirt with ruffle detail around the waist that I discovered the more feminine side of leather. So tonight, it seems only appropriate that I treat my newfound style to a romantic night out on the town and a Dallas style steak dinner.

Oh, it looks adorable on you and I love the color of your shoes (it's like an yellow orange).

This is a F21 skirt, right? I bought it and had to return it because the fit wasn't working on me. It looks great on you, especially with the feminine blouse.

I'm loving the extra pop of color the heels bring to the outfit!..& the skirt looks great.
To be honest, I love that you shop at Forever 21. Since it seems you have so many top designer pieces, it's good to know that F21 is still worthy...ya know. ;)

Hi .:Chelsey:. - I am actually quite a bargain shopper so I am a fan of F21 and H&M. I have some investment pieces from designers but most of my wardrobe still consists of bargain finds from Asia and the U.S.!
